The Chinese can build this...

... but it seems forever for us to repair a tiny bridge at the Mactaquac dam!

Minutes of the May Meeting

A bunch of us gathered at the ever popular 'Dimitri's' for our May dinner/meeting.

  • This month we welcomed Donna and Robert Young to the fold.  Robert has been attending the breakfasts for some time and decided that we were reasonably normal enough to introduce his wife to the group.
  • Dan's celebration of life was well attended by the club with Susan being grateful for the large show of support.
  • Folks were reminded of the long planned trip to the Transportation Museum in Owl's Head, Maine. If attending, make hotel reservations NOW.
  • The HUGE airshow in Greenwood, Nova Scotia to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the RCAF will be attended by at least one FABACian...maybe two. (Aug 24th).
  • Carol and John have two trips planned...stay tuned.
  • The Wednesday evening impromptu car show will be starting soon behind the old (no longer there)  Legion parking lot off of Queen St. We intend to attend and advertise.
  • There's an air museum in Presque Isle planning an air show on the 6th of June.
  • Our next meeting will be at the Carnation Restaurant in Oromocto.  With the PM bridge enveloped in (probably) yet another round of endless construction, we'll be avoiding the city proper for some time yet.
Wanna plan a run...not sure how?
Stay tuned!

Car Show Oromocto High School

Here is all the information I have on the car show at this time. I do not know if there is an entry fee or not. I am still waiting to hear from the person who is  organizing it. Our club has been invited to participate, if we wish to. If my car is ready, I will be going. Here’s hoping.
Cheers
John
