Quebec City Tour Proposal

As Bob noted in his minutes from our April meeting the tour proposal for Quebec City was discussed at length. Unfortunately due to the growing concerns with Covid and increasing gas prices it was thought it would be better to hold off on the trip. However it was also suggested, where there was initially a large interest in the trip, that there may be others who still want to go. That being the case please confirm your interest here in the event that others may wish to go together as a group.

April Meeting (Zoom)

Once again, Dan Nichols played host to the monthly meeting on Zoom.  It was attended by a bunch of folks with nothing better to do, and we spent most of the time gossiping about those who weren't in attendance.

  • The Quebec City tour was discussed at length and many expressed concerns with the rising Covid numbers.  It was decided that those who still want to go should get together
  •  on their own.
  • There was much disappointment about the cancellation of the lobster run.  A lobster roll, if it were available, would cost the same as a tank of gas.
  • The Windsor show is still happening and several folks indicated that they plan to attend.
  • The town of Gagetown has invited us to their show on July 9th or 10th (to be determined later).
  • Sussex car swap meet on May 28th and 29th will be attended by several folks here.
  • Also in Sussex is the annual BalloonFest on September 9th to 11th.  This is an excellent event that we've attended in the past.
  • A call was made for some day trips in the area.  Picnics and take-outs would serve well to attract hungry FABACians.  Nothing fancy is needed, just a spot to go to and a nice day.

FABAC Meeting Wednesday April 20th

We were hoping to do an outside meeting for April but the weather is still cool. So we'll do another Zoom meeting Wed April 20 at 7pm. Dan will once again host the meeting. Same call in procedure as in the past.

Not a run

There won't be a lobster run this year to Lorneville *sniff, sniff*

While they are fishing, they aren't opening the retail sales.

Lucas LLB989 bulb replacements

   Hi folks,

Here's the latest update on my search for LED bulbs for our cars.   The Lucas LLB989 (BA9 base) as used mostly for side lights has proven to be elusive.  The three examples I've tried have been not much brighter that the standard incandescent lights and had bizarre light spread patterns.  These ones, however, are "Oh my Cow I'm blind!" bright.  The light output looked even too.  I'll do a comparison sometime with my light meter but you should grab these now.  That means YOU David.  Your rear tail lights are like a mouse holding a match.
