Morgan buys Rolls from VW and Jag from TATA

Morgan Motors of Malvern Link, maker of the last of the real British sports cars, has recently announced closing a deal to purchase Rolls Royce and Jaguar to bring both back to the British. Sources say that the famous wooden frame will be used in the redesign of the complete line of cars. No mention was made of just how the engineers at Morgan will effectively stiffen the ride of the Rolls and the Jags to make them more Morgan-like. One suggestion, well received, was to remove all suspension parts completely. A test vehicle is in the works and promises to be interesting to say the least. Stay tuned!

The TATA/Ford deal was long in the works and very visible, but I didn't see this coming at all! Who would have thought little old Morgan, who forgot to make new cars, would end up owning "proper" Rolls and Jag?!?

Wow.

It was the "VW" that finally clued me in. Well, that and the April 1.

BMW owns Rolls. ;)

Well at least they would have had real leather interior. Not sure what TATA motors will do for seat and dash/door coverings.
