Thank you to Lorraine and Jim
It is always nice to visit the Woodfords. They are most gracious hosts and I am sure that all who attended the Dec. 30th event had a good time of fellowship and music. Thank you so much for helping to make one of the final days of the year so special.
A Special Invitation to FABAC Members
Jim and Lorraine have again extended a warm invitation to all FABACians to come to their home December 30 for an evening of music and fellowship. Unless I hear otherwise, I'm sure your arrival around 6:00 would be appropriate.

Will it be Stowe or Goodwood for FABAC's 10TH?
2011 is almost here and so is FABAC's 10th anniversary year.
A major big club birthday bash has been suggested. One proposed idea is a group trip to Merrie Olde Englande for the Goodwood Revival three-day classic car race event Sept.16-18. Approximate cost would be $3,000 per person.
Another idea is a four-day tour to Stowe, VT for the British Invasion all British car show on the same weekend. Details of both events can be viewed on my post of November 19th. Whichever event is chosen, very early accommodation booking is a must. It's not too soon to do this now. Both locations have a choice of hotels, etc. I have a list.
I propose that by Jan.19 ALL FABACians exercise their right to vote for which event they plan to attend either by posting their vote on the website as a comment to this proposal or emailing me at jmbowles@nb.sympatico.ca. I will report the vote at the Jan. 19 meeting to be held at the Swiss Chalet Restaurant, Prospect St.

FABAC Christmas Party December 12th—That's this Sunday Folks!
The Crumleys have offered their home for our Christmas party. It will be a pot luck (as always) and everyone is asked to post your proposed dish in the comments so that we can avoid any redundancies. It'll be on the 12th of December at 6:00 PM.
A Yankee Swap will be held with a $10 limit. This is a voluntary participation activity. Find a gift that might be useful, humorous, interesting, or wonderful. Wrap it and bring it. We'll explain the rest later.
The Crumleys live at 29 Jupiter Crescent, Hanwell (near the red marker on the map). Click on the map for more detail.

This is a great Top Gear Clip of Richard Hammond trying to drive a Renault F1 car....gives some idea of how hard it is. The best part is right at the end where one of the mechanics programs the engine to pay "God Save the Queen" with a lap top!

"Texting" and driving is also not a good idea...
More photos here. Thanks to John B for passing this on.
The actual story involved a university student who fell asleep at the wheel on a long trip. Item here. Another thing we shouldn't do—drive when tired.
