Information for next Wednesday's August meeting at the Earl's house

That's 9 Hemlock Dr. in Burton. Take the 102 past the Burton bridge and head towards Gagetown. Turn right onto Cameron just after the (soon to close) Burton School and follow it for a K or so turning left onto Hemlock. We're the second house on the right.  Dinner will be at the normal hour of 6(ish) but we don't mind if you arrive early.
The main course of burgers and sea food chowder will be provided. Anyone wishing to bring desserts or side dishes should call (357-1183) or email (bentbobb@gmail.com)
The herb garden is growing like a thing possessed and anyone needing herbs is welcome to bring a bag.  Folks are welcome to sample anything ripe while strolling the gardens, but know what you're picking as
crops are not necessarily planted in any order. I'm sure the club would get a kick out of watching you wolf down a hot tamale that you mistook for a tomatillo.
Our yard is guaranteed barefoot friendly.  Kick 'em off and enjoy the cool woods and lawn.
Our cats are only partially domesticated and make great sport of stealing food.  Watch the wiry gray tabby, she's sneaky.
Gardeners are welcome to shop from any potted plants found in the woods.  These are plants brought home over the years and placed in the woods for safekeeping.  They have long since been forgotten about and won't be missed.
     We have mosquitoes...bring bug juice.

Hi all,

First of all, Bob, do you want any RSVP? I am trying to get there, but the Musical Ride arrives the next day.

On another matter, please say a prayer for the Burton School that Bob mentioned. Our daughter, Mrs. Appleyard, is one of the 3 teachers there, and it is my understanding that the environment and culture of that little school is a very positive experience for those youngsters. It will be a shame to see it closed.

He forgot to mention that there is lots of Earl's liquor store wine and beer as well as a variety of soft drinks. There will be punch Both alchoolic and non and appetisers. Please don't feel like you have to bring anything, I have been preparing for a month so there is lots of food. Oh and beware of the killer dust balls as I tend to spend any spare time I have in the garden

Well, Dianne and Bob, I cannot even begin to express my admiration of your hard work and generosity. I can only hope that the appreciation of others will be shown by an excellent turnout on Wednesday. (Maybe you should have a collection plate handy. Food/drink items are not cheap.) All the best with your plans. Mother nature could try hard to smile on us that day with some decent weather. Come on, Mother Nature, do your stuff.

Dianne and Bob,

We have a large extended family so over the years of many family get togethers have acquired lots and lots of foldable chairs and tables that we would like to offer up if needed. I can deliver these with no problem at all if you need them. As well if there is anything else that we can be of help with we would be very pleased to do so. Let us know.
