FABAC Sunday Tour - July 4th

As you are aware from John D's recent post on the FABAC site that he has finally got his Spitfire back on the road after a very lengthy repair and restoration period. So the Tour Meister is back and he's already proposing a FABAC tour. This one will take us to beautiful parts of south-western NB this Sunday provided the current weather forecast holds. We will also need committed numbers in order to make reservations at the Birch Grove Restaurant in St. George. Here are John's details and directions. Hope to see many of you on Sunday.

Here’s what I’m thinking:

  • Let's meet at 9:30 at Black's Restaurant in Harvey.
  • Leaving there at 10 and driving to McAdam.
  • Take Route 630 to St. Stephen.
  • Stop and have a coffee at Tim Hortons
  • Then take Route 170 Old Back Bay Rd. Route 1 to St. Andrews
  • Then to Route 127 to Rte 760 to Bethel. Have lunch at the Birch Grove Restaurant in St. George.
  • After lunch, take Route 770 to Bonnie River
  • At the falls, take (Red Rock road) that takes you over to Route 785.
  • To Fredericton Junction and onto Fredericton.
Round-trip approximately 225 miles.

Cheers
John

Looks excellent, John. I hope that we can take advantage of outdoor seating at the Birch Grove Restaurant if it appears crowded inside.

Rain is in the forecast for Sunday. Is the run on rain or shine?

Dianne & rob will be there rain or shine. Who cares if it rains, we need to get out and do something. :-)
