FABAC Meeting/Eating Report Nov. 19

     Our second attempt at a dinner at Mingler's in Oromocto was much better received this time around.  We even welcomed several folks that we haven't seen in awhile, which was very nice and a good chance to catch up.  Pat S. was there with her shiny new teeth.  They looked great and she tells us that they work well.

     A quickee recap of the past month was mostly about John D's recent tours and his last top down blast. I should remind him that my personal best is -10ºC set some years ago. 

 

    The Holiday party is looking to be quite well attended with 20 folks now signed up. 

    Now that so many people having figured out where Mingler's is, we'll have to do it again. The food is great and very reasonably priced.

I received this earlier today:

I currently have a past due parking tenant, currently the car is on bid13.com and will be sold to the highest bidder .  Apparently, it used to belong to professor at UNB,  it was sold and that owner then sold it to someone in Ontario.  Due to covid provincial border closures at the time, it was put in a parking spot at my work.  He never came for the car so it has been sitting for many years.  Recently, that person stopped paying for the parking spot and is unreachable.  So that is why it is being sold as is  without registration and keys.   I not sure if this may be something you or your members maybe interested in.  The auction closes on Nov 25, Unit Parking - Fredericton, New Brunswick | Apple Self Storage -Fredericton North | BID13

Last drive for Season

I hope other members were able to go for a drive today November 14th. What a great day for a 160 km drive with the top down. I think I may have to put the Spitfire away  for the winter, after driving 12,800 km, as the weather forecast is calling for rain and snow. That's not too bad—it is the salt on the roads. Looking forward to next spring.

FABAC November Meeting - Wednesday Nov 19

 Our November meeting will be held at Minglers Pub in  Oromocto at 5:30. We have a reserved area in the restaurant section located on the left side of the building.

We're looking for a good attendance for this meeting due the low turn out at the last meeting. It will also give us a chance to finalize the details and numbers for our Holiday party scheduled for Dec 10 at the Fredericton Inn.

Our FABAC Holiday party reservation has been made for the Fredericton Inn - Brass Rail restaurant for 5:30 on Wednesday Dec 10.

Our dinner choices will be off the regular menu

We need to get an idea of attending numbers so please sign up on our site as soon as possible. We will use this number to confirm numbers for our reservation.
