Sue's Jaguar for Sale!

Hi David,
I see John and Alex have been in hospital. Please pass on our regards and best wishes.
We are moving down to Grand Bay Westfield and we don't have room for all our cars (4) and I am very reluctantly having to sell Sue's XK8.   So I thought I'd put it up for sale to the FABAC crowd before I put it anywhere else, to make sure it has a good home.  It's a 2004 model,  4.2 L  V8, with only 107,366 kms on it as of this writing.  MVI is valid until September August this year, not taxed as we only tax our Jags for the summer anyway.  Car is in excellent condition as you know and has been dutifully pampered, (as are all BBCs) never driven in the rain, let alone snow!  I am asking $17,500 for it but am open to sensible offers.

Pancake Lunch NEXT Sunday!!!

I have set up the run to Dumfries for a pancake lunch and to see the sugarbush for Sunday, April 15. We are due there at 1:00 PM so I think we should plan to meet at Brookside Mall and leave at noon. I would like people to let me know (email or phone 459-0282) if they are going by Saturday, April 14 so they know how many to expect.

Report onFABAC March Meeting

   Last Wednesday (the 21st of March) found us at our (likely) favourite haunt, McGinnis Landing.
   With Gary down south, David took the floor for the business portion. 

• John B. is still in the hospital but doing well.  He's been joined by Alex who is probably back home as of this writing. We wish them both the best and a speedy exit back home. 
• Kelvin mentioned that his annual St. George's Day feast is scheduled for 21st of April around 6:00 PM.  It's pot luck and all are requested to let Kelvin know what you plan on bringing.  Our April meeting will take place during this event. 
• Dwight was thanked for arranging tonight's meeting. 
• Kelvin also announced that his daughter will appear in a local production of 'Spam-a-lot' in June.  Further info will be listed here. 
• Another reminder of the Windsor run was made. 
• The spring Dumfries Sugar Bush run is upcoming April 15 and will be arranged by Dan.  (Details are posted in the post below.)
• Joe announced that his E-Type is for sale.  He should remember that the Jag phone must be returned upon sale of the car.  If the Jag remains in the club, the phone will be presented to the new owner with a flourish.

The Great Race

At a meeting some time ago, I mentioned that Hemmings “The Great Race” was traveling through NB on its way from Buffalo to Halifax and that it might make a nice outing.  They will be in NB on Friday June 29th, having lunch in Saint John and overnight in Moncton.  A link to the schedule is attached.

Land Rover frame comes home

Yesterday I picked up the Land Rover chassis and masses of spare parts. Got a phone call to say it had finally arrived and left immediately to get it. Luckily it was all on pallets to no help needed. Thanks everyone for the offers of help. I will take a raincheck on those as I am sure there will be need for a workday soon.

Bob E's Report on the February FABAC meeting

   The February meeting got off to a disappointing start when it was revealed that Luna Pizza no longer offers their spectacular pork chops.  They are now OFF this writer's list.
   Gary opened with more disappointing news.  Our very own John B is in the hospital but has promised to escape soon.  We'll be sending him a cake with hacksaw blades cooked inside.  I know you're reading this John so please get better soonest, we miss you.

• The bi-weekly breakfasts are going great but it was requested that we (read- Phil) change the weeks so that we don't have a breakfast the day before out monthly meetings.   He's working on this as we speak (type?) and will put something on the site soon. 
• Mexican Bob and made an email suggestion about a club outing to the Delta's food-thingy in April. When the price was revealed (a set of forged pistons for an E-Type are cheaper) there was some discussion. 
• The next meeting will be at McGinnis Landing with Dwight making the arrangements. 
• Kelvin's St George's Day party will take place around the 23rd of April.  As it is an official holiday only in Newfoundland, it'll probably be on the weekend. 
• Folks are already talking about the Windsor show.  Better check it out and book soon.  Link will appear here soon too. 
• Tim had an excellent Show-n-Tell in the form of a replacement headlight which will comply with NB's stupid new DRL law.
