Report on April 15 FABAC Meeting

The April FABAC meeting was attended by 26 members who assembled last evening at Dimitri’s in downtown Fredericton. With Prez Gary among the missing, David N proceeded to welcome those present. He began by giving an update on his battery tender over-wintering experiment which by all accounts worked quite nicely to the extent that it even improved the sound of the Triumph firing up for the initial start up. David then circulated a lovely model of a Morgan and gave a bit of a history of the Morgan on the occasion of the company’s 100th year anniversary.

Curry and Sherry and John and Shirley Ann have already booked motel rooms in anticipation of their attendance at the July PEI car show. They have booked at the Anne Shirley Motel in Cavendish. A show of hands indicated that several members were considering attending this year. Curry also mentioned that they are planning to attend the Rexton British car show as well and have booked their room for that event.

David reminded everyone that touring season is nearing and we should be thinking of our touring agenda.

The May FABAC meeting will be held at JIVES restaurant on Main Street on the northside. Pat S is to make the arrangements.

Update: Another suggestion was from Bob E for a tour down to Saint John, meeting at Ralph's and touring from there. We should do this for sure.

Forgot to mention in that list, that Bob E had suggested a tour to Saint John.

1) We're interested in runs to SJ and MacAdam.
2) We are registered and booked for Rexton - staying at Jardines. Oh bye the way, I understand that the O'Leary Inn in Richibucto will be open this summer, including the weekend of the car show.
3) Can't do PEI this year - it's the same weekend as the Highland Games and I'm part of the organizing committee.

Hi David, regarding the Kent Hills Wind Farm trip, I contacted Trans Alta to see what is available for a tour, but never received a reply yet. I will follow up.
