I have a documentary on driving in India which is quite enlightening. Since most of the population can neither read or write, there are, in effect, no road rules. It seems that 'might is right' is the only real rule. They also kill a disturbingly large number of people every year on their roads.
Did I also hear that in India, in order to get your driver's licence, you don't need to take the driving test, only be in the back seat while someone else is taking their driver's test!!! Please tell me I'm wrong about that!
I can comfirm that David. The documentary is one of Jeremy Clarkson's 'Motorworld' series. Religion also has a large part in how they drive as the Hindu's believe that they have no control over their lives. If it's their day to die, then they're going to die regardless of how they drive.
Bob said they kill a larger number of people each year. We take out chances in Fredericton with less people, more rules, and self professed good drivers who run fresh red lights stale red lights, fail to stop at stop signs and make a 2 or 3 lane turn off an adjacent street cutting off pedestrians with or without the walk light.
I say send them to the location of where the video was taken for a week PLEASE!

I would suggest that is a very well organized, efficently run intersection on vehicles per minute. Now safety is another subject!
