Bob's Report on FABAC's 10th Anniversary Dinner

(Bob E apologizes for the lateness of the report)....

The 10th anniversary FABAC dinner broke all records for an event with close to 50 people attending.  It's almost good that more didn't show up since we filled all seats in the prepared room.
There was no real club business, instead we traded stories with Gary reminiscing about the last 10 years. David read some emails he'd received from absent members then introduced new members Steve and Jana who recently purchased a 74 MGB—and one with some local history too!  Johanna B. was given a certificate for sporting the best name tag.
Kelvin gave away a custom FABAC anniversary hat which he'd had made.
This was followed by six members of the original club standing up and accepting accolades from all the 'noobs'. David recounted his first meeting with Jim W. at that first meeting. This set off many more folks recounting stories from the club's history or their first meetings with their respective cars.
This was our first visit to the Riverside Resort since the kitchen came under new management and we all enjoyed it immensely.  I hope we eat there again this year.

Congratulations to all of the FABAC crew that keeps such a wonderfully unorganized bunch of misfits organized. It is truly amazing.

We could not make the dinner but hope to participate more this summer than we have been able to do in the past.

From FABAC south (Thats the FUNDY Area Britsh Auto Club) all the best Ralph and Karen Holyoke

Not my place to put other people to work, perhaps, but I don't think FABAC would be disappointed if FABAC (South) were to set up a trip to Broadleaf Ranch for lunch, and even a horseback ride.

Love Ralph's descriptor of us. He has captured the essence of what makes our club so attractive. BUT, God bless the cat herders in our midst.

Many thanks should also go to Stephen Wheatley for his surprise gift - a supply of specially-made FABAC 10th anniversary lapel pins. Thanks Stephen. For a guy who doen't own an LBC he sure supports FABAC generously. John B.
