Report on October's FABAC Meeting

A small but enthusiastic (and hungry!) group met at Brubaker's on Wednesday evening.
  • Gary opened with a recap of the runs that have taken place since last meeting and there were a good number.
  • Alex and Lise were congratulated on their upcoming birthdays (a young 50...ish) and even more warmly congratulated on an impending celebration of 55 years of marriage.
  • Herb proposed a trip next year to Atlantic Motorsport Park in Nova Scotia for a weekend visit.  We might even get some track time in.
  • Kelvin offered to put on a Guy Falkes night on Nov 15th.  Watch here for details.
  • Next month's meeting will be at the new Blue Door just down the road on King and Regent.
  • A dinner run to the Bavarian restaurant ( http://www.oldbavarian.ca/contact.html ) near Sussex was proposed for the 26th of this month.  Watch for details here.
  • With the boring stuff out of the way we got down to the fun part.  Kelvin circulated another recent auction find to stump the group.  We figured out pretty quickly that it was an inclinometer but for what?  It turned out to be for the forest industry to gauge the height of trees.
  • John kept up the tradition by offering another quiz. That darn Kelvin won it....again.
  • Despite the gorgeous and warm fall weather, two LBC's were seen with their tops up. You know who you are.   I'll be watching.
