Windsor is coming soon!
If you list your departure day we may be able to link up to make some sort of "convoy" to travel together.
I will start the ball rolling.
I will leave at around 8am on Friday and will be driving via Moncton / Truro with the Mini on the trailer. I will have room in the truck if anyone needs something taken.
Looking forward to another great show.

Saint Andrews: blue skies, perfect temperature, great drive, good food, and fine fellowship
Eating ice cream while sitting on ice cream. |
Son Dana took the Morgan tiller and expertly did most of the driving for the day. We met the rest of the FABACian contingent at Harvey Station—it consisted of one vehicle—John and Shirley Ann's beautiful 74 MGB. So, for this run, it was quality, not quantity. (Where was everyone?!!)
It's always a beautiful drive to Saint Andrews and the destination never disappoints. Such was our day which included a stroll, great eats at Gables, and an interesting and informative time at the beautiful Huntsman Centre.

Dieppe "Show & Shine"
Mex Bob was already there before we arrived, but there were so many people around his Fiat that I couldn't get a good shot.
John and Shirley Ann arrived—then there were four FABAC vehicles representing more diversity than one could ever imagine.
It was a perfect day! Kelvin, now famous for his generosity, had chairs and a good supply of beverages in his cooler which he made available to us. Thank you, Kelvin.
I believe we all won prizes. I came home with a remote control Ferrari with which I immediately tormented the cats. Endless fun!
The Morgan performed magnificently on its first run since overhaul. For us, the day ended thus:
How about a FABAC British Invasion to this?

Bob's Report on the FABAC June meeting
We collectively stumbled for a bit, unsure of what to do in the absence of Gary-n-Barb. David finally took the reigns and brought order to the assembly.
First on the agenda was a reminder by Dwight about the upcoming run to St Andrews which will include a visit to the aquarium. If we can cough up at least ten members we'll be treated to a formal tour. The run takes place on the Sunday, the 28th. Details will be posted here.
There will be a car show in Dieppe this Saturday run by the foreign car club. Folks who have attended in the past enjoyed it immensely.
There was a reminder about the Windsor car show and much discussion was held regarding the change in the ferry schedule. Most folks still intend to take the ferry despite the fact that it now leaves much later in the day.
The gathering thanked Jim for arranging this month's dinner and he was not only given a standing ovation, but carried around the tables on peoples shoulders to the sound of a marching band while banners where unfurled in his honour.
Herb made a quick reminder to folks about the trip to Shubenacadie in August.
Folks are looking forward to Rita and Bob's lakeside cottage happening August 16th.
John updated us on the excellent Carter House run for September 13th, reminding us that there is limited seating for the meal so anyone interested should email him no later than noon, Saturday, September 5th. First come—first serve.
The last official order of business was a vote to hold next month's meeting again, at the Riverside Inn.
With business out of the way and dinner finished, it was time for John's monthly quiz.. It was (of course) hotly contested with that darned Joe winning it. He is hereby granted five penalty points for next month's quiz.
The meeting adjourned under warm and sunny skies and most of us wandered across the dam to enjoy ice cream at the stand along the 105.

Good news on Carter House run
Looking for some help
I am looking for somebody going to the BMF in Windsor NS this July that would have a larger car and space to carry two cooler size gas tanks out of my old Jaguar S type to a fellow at the show. They are a set of twin tanks so neither is too large but would need a back seat or trunk of a sedan. I suppose they could ride shotgun if somebody was going solo in an LBC. Any help appreciated

GRAND MANAN PLAN for June 21 - 23 (UPDATE: CANCELLED)
Email correspondence between Herb and AMP organizer
Confirming my email to you back in March, a group of folks from FABAC, Fredericton Area British Auto Club, will visit on Aug 22, 23rd Race Weekend. We are expecting 8 - 10 cars to make the trip. We attempted to reserve at the Glengarry but all booked up on the 22nd. So making other accommodation arrangements.
Plan is to travel on Saturday and be at the track on Sunday. If we arrive early, a few may be at the track Saturday afternoon ( you know some of the older British sports cars may have mechanical issues and be delayed) Lucas electrics for example!
What are your entry costs so I can advise club members attending? Hoping for great weather and look forward to meeting you both.
Debbie M. replies:
Good to hear that your club will be able to visit us in August. We can offer a special gate fee of $10.00 a car load for entry to the track and that would include parade lapping at noon hour.
Looking forward to meeting you all.
British Motoring Festival FAQs
We thought we'd compose this newsletter in the form of a "Frequently Asked Questions" sheet, i.e. a FAQ.
FAQ-1: Is there breakfast available for Dorm registrants on Saturday?
Sadly, no. Yours truly makes a quick run down to the MacDonald's/Timmies on Wentworth Road on Saturday morning.
FAQ-2: Is there security on the site to make sure my car is not vandalised or stolen?
Yes indeed. A security guard from Commissionaires Canada patrols the grounds from 7 PM to 7 AM on Friday night and Saturday night. The RCMP will have a constable who is our liaison and they are 5 minutes away. The fire department is also notified of the festival.
FAQ-3: Is the Festival insured?
Yes we are for, liability affecting the general public and for any damages which might reasonably be assigned to our fault. King's-Edgehill is held harmless. But nothing has ever happened! Insurance for your own car is your responsibility and we require it. That would cover collision or comprehensive claims involving your vehicle as is normal.
FAQ-3: I want to shine up my car to present it's best appearance in the awards competitions - can I do that?
Yes, we provide a car wash station next to the maintenance building just off the exhibition parking area (there will be a grounds map at the registration desk).
FAQ-4: What if I have mechanical problems, like my car won't start? Can you help?
Yes, the extremely knowledgeable Bill Johnson (MGBBILL to fans) is our onsite troubleshooter, and he has solved quite a variety of problems in the past 5 years. Of course British Cars are noted for their reliability, right?
FAQ-5: Can anyone explain Cricket?
Bluntly, no. It is a game played by the folks who invented British automobiles and they love it more than we love hockey. While impossible to explain it is actually quite fun to watch, and there will be a match between Annapolis and Windsor played on the manicured grounds of KES beginning at 1 PM. A proper British Tea is served at 3 PM. Jolly good.
FAQ-5: I've registered, what next?
Arrive at King's-Edgehill, drive through the impressive gates up the treed lane, and turn LEFT to the small parking lot. Your registration package will be at the Registration desk inside the main building. Then proceed to the exhibitor's parking area with guidance from MGBBILL's squadron of volunteers.
Safe Driving,
The BMF Committee
