Carolyn and I plan to tour the Cabot Trail in early August in the Morgan SS. We thought maybe it would be finished raining by then!!!
Wondering if any of you who have made this trip (We did decades ago) have some suggestions for what you thought was special, especially places to stay, places to eat, things one should not miss, and any other tips.
Hope you have been grabbing the opportunities to keep your LBCs well limbered this summer.
Cheers
David

Definitely visit the rug hooking exhibit at Chetticamp.

Good lunch at Chowder House at Neilson Harbour and also nice dinner in Cheticamp.
Not on the Cabot Trail but if you have the time a trip to Fortress Louisbourg is worth a stop. Be sure to take the guided walking tour before striking out on your own.

Jut returned (July 23) from BATANS tour around Cape Breton, 1,174 miles in total including the British Motoring Festival Festival in Windsor. In great summer weather, our MGB performed flawlessly. What a car!!!
Road conditions around the Cabot Trail were not so flawless. The route was continually interrupted by major road construction, sometimes a mile or
more in length. Then there were dozens of short gravel sections that were dusty and rough.Delays caused by one-way traffic added to the discomfort. The wonderful views partly compensated for the bad (in places) road conditions.
