Notes from September FABAC Meeting

We covered a lot of ground last night, met a new member and reconnected with one of the original members.   Henning introduced his wife, Rose, and Mark Cowell, an original member was (hopefully) made to feel at home.
Gary took the reigns and recapped the last month's events:
  • Rita and Bob's cottage visit.
  • The visit to Nackawic to take Lise and Alex to lunch.
  • Rick and Terry's 'Blueberry Explosion' up near Woodstock.
  • Phil talked about the MG guru presently making the rounds of the Maritimes.  See the post from a few weeks back.
  • There was also a brief chat regarding the trip to the Owl's Head museum in Maine last weekend.  Phil had the privilege of driving a 1913 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.
  • There was a quick update on this weekend's Carter House run and dinner.
  • There will be our annual year end run to Knightville for Octoberfest in Adolph's German restaurant.
  • There was a lot of confusing talk about browbeating someone to organize a run to 'Walter's Restaurant'.  Watch for a possible update to this one.
  • The next meeting will be at the Day's Inn in Oromocto on the 17th of October.
  • John Dewitt will be planning a trip to the Gaspé next year.
  • Kelvin finally showed up and teased us with rumours of a small town somewhere in the US states not far from here that stages sports car racing through the streets every year.  Watch for news on this one too.
