Due to weather conditions that could be treacherous by this evening, I regret to announce the cancellation of this evening's FABAC party.

We have now surpassed the minimum number of 20 members required for our Holiday Party. So I've confirmed it with the Fredericton Inn. All the party details have been previously posted.

Are you planning on attending our Holiday Party on Wednesday Dec 14?
It was only a week ago that it was in the high teens and folks where driving around with their tops down, basking in the warm fall weather. The weekly Tuesday morning breakfasts continue to be popular and we even occasionally talk about cars.
Rob E.Our November FABAC meeting has been rescheduled to next Tuesday November 22 at 5:30 at Sam Sneads. Changing it to a Tuesday allows us to benefit from their "Steak Night Tuesday" special. We have the Fedora room reserved. Here's Sam Sneads menu:
I just received the Banquet Contract for our Holiday Dinner at the Fredericton Motor Inn. Included are the revised buffet options including charges with and without dessert. Both buffet options include the Seafood Casserole. The buffet menu items are shown below as well.

Some of you may be surprised that this years best selling cars in Europe are not those we might have suspected. Check them out here.

Hi Folks.
Sandi called Moco to make reservations for our November meeting. She was told that they couldn’t accommodate 20 people. Now we have a reservation for Wednesday, November 16th (usual date), 5:30 at Sam Snead.
Thanks.
Cheers,
Sandi and Larry
I've just confirmed our annual Holiday Party for Wed, Dec 14 at the Fredericton Inn beginning at 5:30. This year it will be held in the Regency Room. This is the formal dining room not the Brass Rail which is where we were last year.
Just a reminder to please make your reservations as soon as possible for Sunday's Octoberfest run. You should mention that you're with the FABAC so that we can all be seated together.

Menu http://www.oldbavarian.ca/menu.htmlJohn D. really knows to pick 'em. Either that or he can magically arrange for perfect weather. A heavy mist hung over the group as we headed out from Burton, some with tops down, and wound down the 102. We took the ferry to the peninsula and wandered down a variety of back roads as the mist burned off and it warmed up to what can only be called an Indian summer. In Sussex, John led the group aimlessly through the town until we got tired of it and settled on someplace that was luckily, prepared for a group just our size.
Remember that Road Runner cartoon where the coyote winds up running himself to exhaustion, lost in a maze of conflicting road signs (set up by the road runner)? That's what the after lunch drive to Hampton for ice cream was like. John mostly knows the roads well, but his GPS kept falling off and I, who was his passenger, was of zero help. Still, it was very much summery and all tops were down by this time. Eventually Hampton hove into view and we all stopped for a well deserved ice cream.
It was there that a new look and direction for FABAC happened. An innocent conversation regarding the continuing evolution of FABAC spawned....wait for it.....
"We're not just FABAC, we're FAB!"
There'll be more on this in the near future, trust me on this (*wink wink*).
The group split off in ones and more ones as we headed along the river up to some obscure gas station with John lamenting the small size of his fuel tank before continuing on home.
Thanks to John for another great tour and lunch.

LOTS of interest was shown today so the trip is on!
Enjoy! Thanks to John.
There has been very little response to this proposed trip so John suggests we cancel if more don't indicate an interest by 5:00 today.
I am planning on taking a drive on Sunday October 23/22. I booked for 20 people at the Timberland restaurant in Sussex.
All the best,
John
Our next regular monthly meeting will be held at the Pizza Delight North Side on Wednesday Oct 19th at 5:30. Anne C. has reserved a private room for us.
What a beautiful day we had for an early fall run. The coolness of the air was a gentle reminder of the changing weather. The stunning blue sunny skies highlighted the wonderful sites we saw and experienced throughout the day.
Under the capable leadership of John D., ten cars, some with tops down, headed up the 102 towards Woodstock. The weather was great and the roads were in good repair, what more could folks ask for.
We had lunch at Walter's Diner in the downtown. Afterwards, as we set out again, a few more opened their roofs to the sun. Crossing over to the 105 in Hartland, we turned south and wound down to Nackawic where we had a quick stop for reasons better left unpublished.
The fall colours are just starting, giving some urgency to the need to get out there and enjoy them. Today's run was a perfect occasion for it.
