I just finished making these. after seeing them on a Spitfire at the car show in Windsor. I went online found the kit it was $175 delivered. So I decided to make them total cost for me was $30 for the struts. And an hour and a half of grinding time on an old bedframe. It made the perfect bracket.

Good Job John! I saw that Spitfire in Windsor as also and it looks as though yours works just as well. They are a good addition in my opinion. What are the pneumatic cylinders taken from?
