Notes on Quebec City Trip Proposal from Chris

 Quebec City Trip:  Rendez-vous British Québec  Thursday, June 2nd – Sunday, June 5th 


Day 1- Thursday, June 2nd       (Hotel rooms required for 3 nights)

Fredericton to Woodstock 102 km / 1hr

The group will leave Fredericton at 8:00 from the gas bar in Kingsclear and will meet more members of the group in Mactaquac and then meet others in Woodstock at 9:30 (ish), a 102 km run.

(Beth and Chris will travel to Woodstock to stay at the Best Western the night before. Wednesday June 1st.)

The group will stop in Hartland for coffee at Tim’s.   Should take around 20min. 23 km.  So now 9:50 AM.  Leave at 10:10 AM Fuel stop here.

The next stop is Edmundston 1 hour and 40 min away, 161km.  We should be in Edmundston at 11:50 – 12:00.   

A likely spot to dine would be at the Grey Rock Casino.  

Second fuel stop 


Leaving Edmundston at 1:30, we are taking route 120 to Lac Baker NB. 34.5 km – Arrive at 2:00 PM (this is just a way point, not stopping here)

Continue on to Rivier-Bleue, Quebec.  Route 289. – 35 min drive so, it will be 1:35 PM local time (2:35 our time) (again, just a way point)

Saint-Alexandre-de-Kamouraska is the next leg of the journey.   43 min / 57 km.  Arrive 2:18 PM Local Time  3:18 our time

Fuel stop.

Montmagny is 1 hr 10 min away.  3:30 Local Time 4:30 our time.

Next stop Levis.  This is a fuel stop before we cross the bridge into the Quebec City area.  and perhaps a good place to have the evening meal.  It is close to 4:15 local time, 5:15 our time.

Quebec City proper, where you are likely to have chosen a hotel, is now 20 to 25 minutes drive.

Day 2: June 3rd.

big rally in heart of old town Quebec, at the Holy Trinity Cathedral near the Château Frontenac, Music and animation on-site.  Members could use time in the AM to take in local attractions.

Day 3: June 4th

Quebec – 9:00 AM to 4:00PM - event will be at Domaine Maizeret,   There is a $10.00 per car fee.

Activities the organizers of the “show” list these in addition to the show itself:

  • Valve cover race
  • British car parts flee market
  • Funkhana
  • awards are given to the car having won the vote “Coup de Coeur” of the public and the car that has traveled the longest distance to the site.


We will check with the organizers to see when we must be on the grounds with our cars in case we want to take in local attractions in the AM.


Day 4: June 5th The Return Trip

Details of this are to be discussed and decided on by those FABAC members who want to participate in this tour.  

There would be several options ranging from retracing the route taken to arrive, leaving in the early PM on the 4th and travelling to a halfway point and spending the night, or, what ever can be imagined.
