A beautiful day is forecast for Tuesday August 10th
On August 10, 2021, we meet at Brookside Mall parking lot by NBLC at 12pm, take the Route 105 through Douglas toward Mactaquac, quick stop at “Quac Snak Shak” at Mactaquac Marina for a drink or ice cream, then continue on past the Park to Carol and John's home at 1665 Route 105 for an afternoon social by the river.
After watching dismal weather forecasts for over a week, we were finally blessed with a perfect day of sunshine and light breezes. A considerable gaggle of British (and other) vehicles took advantage of the fine weather and excellent planning by John DeWitt. It was so nice to see a much-improved road surface on the route towards Cambridge Narrows.
Thank you, John, for yet again, another memorable FABAC run.

The weatherman appears to have finally given into the pressures from FABACians frustrated by not getting enough good weather for our little cars. (John always seems to get good weather for any run he organizes! Thank you, John!)

I just had a phone call from Gulliver's Restaurant. Wanted to know if would be all right to seat at four individual table instead of one long one. I said yes, so we are now sitting at four individual tables. They also asked me to inform the club members that they only have potato wedges—no french fries.
REMINDER: For those of you who contacted me for reservations at Gulliver's, remember to place your order on Saturday, indicating that you are in my group.

Over 12 years ago I got this pedal and recently wanted to install it in my 1974 MGB. The pedal is an accelerator pedal from a 1936 to 1954 Ford and cost less than $20. The steel bracket is 3x3x1 ½ x 12 Ga. Which was purchased at Home Depot for $4 (wood framing connector). I cut one leg to 1 ¼” + drilled holes + painted. The top of the pedal is about 3 ¾” from the carpet and the angle is 55 degrees from the horizontal. I rounded the bottom of the pedal to rest on the carpet evenly.
The pedal matches the stock pedals and it is nice and comfortable and keeps the left foot off the clutch.
