You all know what I'm going to mention first so if you don't want your face rubbed in it, please skip to the second paragraph. Ha!...a world's first! Jaguars actually outnumbered all other LBCs at the November dinner. All of two of us brought our cars, with one having the top down. Only two you say!? Everyone else has put their cars away for the winter so this wasn't much of a feat. Until the salt trucks are out, we'll be driving 'em!
A whopping 40 folks crowded into the Swiss Chalet on Prospect Wednesday evening. We had people from half the province...Saint John to Woodstock. Several small scuffles broke out over tables and Gary had to take charge by shouting everyone down. Dave and Carolyn bragged about their recent trip to Greece. They had great flights, great weather, and LOTS of great food.
The hot topic was the impending Christmas party. Heather-n-Vic Dunphy have offered us their house to trash on the 11th of December. It will be pot luck with a Yankee swap. Please contact Heather at 459-7702 with your intended dish so that we don't wind up with 24 pots of stew.
Kelvin circulated a *something* for us to identify. We thought it was a great contest until we realized that he hadn't a clue as to what it was. It came with a box of old British car parts and several of us put our heads together and came up with a best guess of an oil cooler door actuator from a TBM Avenger(?) We await confirmation on this (Kelvin?!)
The annual Christmas in the village trip was discussed and it will take place on the Saturday (the 29th). Details will appear here soon.
Condolences were expressed to the Drury's for their recent family loss.
Joanna Bertin's recently released book on Don Messer was blatantly promoted. It promises to be a good read.
Robert Hogg related his recent experiences with carting home two old MGBs he'd bought. Folks who were there will offer that it wasn't nearly as much fun as he made it out to be.
Kelvin offered us his home for a spring 'shake-the-cobwebs-out' run to celebrate St. George's Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_George's_Day) next April 23rd.
The big news of the evening was the announcement of a *NEW* British car event to replace the PEI run which has been ruined by corporate interests.(WebMaster's note: Not necessarily FABAC's official position) It will take place on the July 23-25th weekend in Windsor N.S. My daughter who lives in Windsor, said we can ALL stay at her house. ;-)
Currie Is planning a party/pot luck for members of the Ontario Austin Healey club who will be in the area soon after.

I trust that that was Sir James who was blatantly promoting my book? Way to go, Sir! It's actually getting terrific reviews so don't give him too hard a time.
Sorry I missed the rave but had to work the evening shift.
We're heading to Cuba so will miss the Christmas in the Village run. I was there last week (Gagetown) and it looked lovely. The furnace in the Old Boot Pub was broken and it was very cold in the building, but the day more than made up for it. And the ferry is running!
Have a wonderful time and we will see you on the 11th at Vic and Heather's.
Johanna and Bruce
