Notes from January 2011 FABAC Meeting by Bob E.

A raucous 25 FABACians met at the Swiss Chalet on Prospect Street Wednesday evening for the first meeting of what promises to be a banner year.  This is, after all, our tenth anniversary.
Gary beat the noisy group into submission and took the lull to thank the Crumleys for hosting our Christmas party, and the Woodfords for the New Years Eve eve music night.  Both events where terrific.  The only question that came up was the whereabouts of the mud flaps.  If they don't appear at next year's party, the club may have to fold.
Many tours where discussed and we would like to attend something as a club to celebrate our anniversary. The Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK was presented as was Stowe in Vermont.  They both happen in September and anyone going to Stowe is urged to book a room soon.  The Nova Scotia
show is scheduled for July 9th and 10th in Windsor NS.  We will look into joining BATANS for a day or overnight tour on PEI this summer when they visit BMAPEI.  There was also a lot of interest in doing another overnight trip to Deer Island or Grand Manan.
Bob E reminded everyone that this year is the 50th anniversary of the E-Type Jaguar.  Only Robbie Hogg and Joe Hines paid him any attention.  Bob also made a somewhat vulgar reference to length, girth and goeyness while presenting Jim and Ellie with the first annual (and last annual) bug splat award trophy.
We discussed our next meeting at length and tentatively decided on the Oakland Farms in New Maryland. This will be a birthday party for the club.
The last item was Kelvin announcing that he will again host the second annual St Georges day pot luck at his home.  It will take place on the Easter weekend Saturday.
