Christmas in the Village Run

So there I was, standing in a gentle drizzle, sipping a cuppa by the parking lot behind Timmies when, Wiff!, Bam!, Stash!, Grab!, Screeech!.....I found myself in the back of an unmarked SUV heading out of town.   Fearing that I'd been abducted by spooks from CSIS I was relieved to see the smiling faces of the Strangs, Pat and Dave in the front.  The three of us did our best to represent FABAC to the massed crowds in Gagetown.  Attendance seemed to be down from years past and I noticed that many businesses where not open this year.  Despite that...and the incessant drizzle, we wandered around and had an enjoyable time.  The crafts were quite clever (and expensive) with Pat taking a shine to a clever soldered penny bracelet.  It was also somewhat disappointing to see items we'd used in years past being sold as 'antiques'.
All that shopping had worked up quite an appetite which was sated in the Creek View Cafe with a late lunch/early supper over which we gossiped about everyone who hadn't made it to the run.

Good show Bob. Glad to see you were able to get out. We had a date with Christmas tree farm to get the family tree's.

Thanks for putting the Village Run together.
