Larry, what's the diameter of the track, and can you put a spring gauge (or something similar) on the 'thingamajig' and see what kind of force is required to move it?

Phil- Yes, I calculated the HP. It's excactly .0074281 HP
Bob- The track is 9" in diameter. The answer to your second question is: No.
