An update on the British Motoring Festival

I received this via email today.

Phi

Phil, as previously communicated, there will be a British Motoring Festival at Kings-Edgehill Schoolin Windsor this year.  It will be a simpler version than we normally hold, it’s just a one-day event on Saturday July 16, i.e. there will be no reception on Friday evening, no breakfast on Saturday morning, no banquet on Saturday evening, no pub breakfast on Sunday morning and no dorm rooms available ….. and, continuing with the “no” theme, THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION FEE!

It will be a "private" event i.e. no general public attendance.  Attendees are restricted to Members of BATANS and the NB, PEI and Cape Breton British Car Clubs, and their guests.  The featured Marque this year is Jaguar, celebrating 100 years of Jaguar and its predecessor the Swallow Sidecar company (SS Cars).

Lunch will be available for purchase from a local vendor on the Kings-Edgehill Schoolgrounds.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN.

BATANS members can register online or by completing and mailing/emailing a printed registration form.  Members of FABAC, BMAPEI and BCCCB must use the printed registration form:

  • Online: A Quick Guide to online registration is available HERE
    • Login to the ClubExpress system at Login - BATANS
    • Locate the British Motoring Festival 2022 event and click/tap on View
    • Click/tap on Register Now
    • You can register one vehicle and your guest(s) with one online registration, if you’re registering more than one vehicle, you’ll need to enter multiple online registrations.
  • Printing and completing the Paper Registration Form available HERE and then:
    • Scanning and emailing the completed form to info@batans.ca or
    • Mailing the completed form to BATANS, P.O. Box 122Dartmouth Main P.O., DartmouthNSB2Y 3Y2
    • You can register yourself, your guest(s) and up to 3 cars on the paper form.  Additional info can be entered, if necessary, in the Additional Info field.

As BMF 2022 is a private event, you’ll be required to show your registration confirmation or other identifying information to gain entry to the grounds.

  • If you register yourself online, you can print the information at the last step in the registration process
  • If you register via a printed form, your registration confirmation will be emailed to you.

At “normal” BMFs we support MADD by allowing them to have a booth at the show where they can solicit donations, from registrants and the general public, usually through a 50/50 draw.  This year, as there is no registration fee for the event, registrants may choose to make a voluntary donation to MADD via the Donate button available via this link

If you’re planning on attending BMF 2022 we ask you to REGISTER ASAP.

A last-minute rush of registrations will complicate the process of preparing your registration package - consisting of printed Name Tags for you and your guest(s), Car Cards for display on your windshield(s), etc. – and having them ready for you to pick up on your arrival.  This is particularly true this year as our registrar has some vacation planned at the end of June/beginning of July and would like to avoid a hectic final week leading up to the show!

Thys Molenaar, Co-Chair BMF
