Just a reminder of the Stanley Fair scheduled for Saturday Aug 16. You will remember that nearly a dozen cars committed to attending this event. That is the number the show organizers are looking forward to seeing. More is better. We are actually on their published scheduled of events from 11am to 2pm. This would be a terrific opportunity for us to promote our club and to support this wonderful community.
In addition for those that would like to stay longer there is a Turkey supper at the event starting at 4pm with the proceeds going to the Upper Nashwaak Arena. This is going to be a fun event with musical entertainment, an antique engine and tractor display, bingo and even a sheep shearing demo.......now how often have you seen that!
Here's the overall schedule : http://www.stanleyfair.com/
We'll be meeting at the Brookside Mall parking lot near the main entrance and departing for Stanley at 10am via the Royal Road.
Let's get out, have fun, show our cars in supporting this event and the Town of Stanley.
Thanks,
Gary

PS: anyone wanna join me at the market for breakfast before we head off?

I can't join you at the market but look forward to seeing you at the Brookside Mall.

Looks like I will be in Westy.Took Mini to get safety and it failed on handbrake and wipers. They both worked when I left home but they did not work for the mechanic,so Westy it is.Was goint to go up the 8 but that last bit of road from the 8 to Stanley is not to good so will go with the rest of you on Royal road. That last stretch into the village is very bad with 6" to 8" potholes that you have to pick your way thru. Drove both routes on Monday.

Weather channel is calling for a "pleasant day" with possibility of showers this afternoon. So I'm still leaving for Stanley at 10am as planned.
