Navigator Bob's St.Georges Day Report

Now that our power is back on...
  ...I can make a report.
Under drizzly skies, a lighthearted and boisterous crowd met in the downtown ready for whatever the routemaster was going to throw our way.  There were even a couple of LBCs in attendance.  The anticipation was palpable and at the stroke of 5:00PM cars roared off at two minute intervals.
Kelvin had laid out a devious route, twisting and winding through the downtown core followed by even more meandering along, over, and around the Nashwaak.  Hampered by an odometer reading in miles, a chatty driver, a rock hard suspension that made taking notes nigh on impossible, and cookies...(pause for affect)...Larry and I made enough wrong turns to stumble into Kelvin's place.
There were even more FABACians there waiting to greet the rallyists bringing the total to over 30 folks.  It goes without mention that the food was spectacular.  Kelvin  had a car quiz ready which John B managed to win (no surprise there).  This one had some cars that were rare enough to stump even him.  Larry and I were shocked/astounded/surprised/dipped in excrement/flabbergasted to hear that we'd won the rally.  I can only offer the suggestion that we'd made enough wrong turns that they cancelled each other out and driving at every speed other than the target average had given the same result.
The evening ended all too early and we departed under still gloomy skies.
A big thanks to Kelvin for his hospitality and yes, we will, we promise, move the Smart car soon.
        Just call us.

Bob E.....still stumped.

We must do it again. What a fun time mixing clocks, tulips and converting miles to clicks for an hour or so, then ending up for scrumptious food all to celebrate some bloke called George!

Hat's off to Kelvin for a organizing something new and a bit different on the FABAC calendar.
