An exciting new feature this year will be the Awards. Yes I know we’ve always had awards, but this year we are featuring a collection of spectacular trophies. I would kill to have one of these on my mantlepiece (if pigs learn to fly). The awards are for first and second place respectively in the Featured Marques (Rolls and Bentley), Participant’s and Public favourites. There’s also a prize for the car from farthest away, and it does look like we will have some entries from New England, Quebec and Ontario. Plus there are two very special awards, dazzling crystal loving cups, thanks to two generous sponsors, Harbourside Collision for the best body and paint job, and Village Green Auto, (Peter Osborne) for the best Preservation Project, and last but not least the coveted portrait of the car Rick Swain would most love to steal - er, drive home.
For the Preservation prize you’ll have to apply by writing up a history of your project (photos are optional but can’t hurt) and submitting it. You can send them to me at the BMF address on your registration form, and I’ll see that Peter gets them, or you can get them to Peter directly.
We’ve had lots of support from our vendors and sponsors of the Friday night free reception, from the Cricket Club, from news media, the Town of Windsor and the great folks at King’s-Edgehill. Now it’s up to you. The show is just 7 weeks away. Don’t wait until the last week, get your registration form in now! If you've misplaced it you can download the form from our website,
