Seafood Feast Trip Report

   Is it spring yet?
Click on the picture for several more from Ellie/Jim B.
After yesterday's snow shower, spring has been a distant fantasy but today hinted at better weather in the offing.  It was sunny and sorta, kinda warm when the wind wasn't blowing enabling 7 cars to head downriver along the bum-bump!-py 102 into Saint John and then Lorneville.  Dan had the Alfa out (with top down!) to showcase the new and very red ("rosso") paint job.  There was also some new interior work and the car looks great.
The lobster fisheries was right on the shoreline overlooking the Saint John harbour and we whiled away a bit of the afternoon with our lobster rolls.  Those who had bought cooked whole lobsters made a game of seeing how many folks they could spray with lobster goo as they cracked and twisted the shells. Terry and Kim represented the Saint John area and it was great to see some old friends again.  We gotta do this more often.
The planned side trip to Ralph's place had to be cancelled due to a last minute event at his place forcing us to reschedule.  We don't really need an excuse to go for another drive downriver but now we have one.
Although it was a late start to the driving season, it was certainly a nice one.

Thanks to Jim B for organizing this great trip. Carolyn and I LOVE seafood (she's from Digby). She had a whole lobster and a lobster roll; I had two lobster rolls and many cookies — great ones freshly baked by Ellie AND fresh baked ones from the great folks at Whitetail Fisheries. I don't think anyone matched us on intake, and if you did, I forgot to mention that we bought two pounds of fresh scallops!
A great day!

Do it again. Do it again. And we will make the lobster run trip with you.
sorry Homeport was busy on Sunday. I actually was able to take time off renovating to relocate the Jensen into my workshop so it is also ready for visiting. and maybe some work by me.
