A quick visit

I was at the hospital today for routine lab work and had a little time to spare. Although technically, John Bowles was accepting family only visitors, I managed to qualify enough to have a quick visit. Most of you know that John was scheduled for by-pass surgery a month ago. This did take place, but the complications that arose resulted in five operations and a long stay in the hospital. John appeared in good spirits today and indicated that he was on the road to recovery. He expects that if all continues to improve, he may be released to the real world in a couple of weeks. We all wish for that to happen.
Before I left, he spoke highly of his strong and steadfast spouse Shirley Ann. We're lucky guys, John.
Get well soon—the little MGB and summer sunshine await you and Shirley Ann.

I dropped in on John this afternoon. He is focused on regaining his strength. His colour is good, he is up-beat and plans to back in the B by mid-summer.

Went to DECH yesterday. John has improved quite a bit since we visited him in Saint John. Will continue as he increases his walks in the hospital. Keep improving John!
