Notes from July Meeting by Bob E.

The July dinner took place at Sam Snead's.  We ordered food, ate it then went for ice cream.

Ok....a bit more than that happened.  We were initially horrified when Gary didn't show up and were somewhat directionless until David N. took control.
  • Larry gave an enthusiastic report on the past weekend's British Car Festival in Windsor N.S.   He proudly reported that our very own David won the coveted 'Car I'd Like to Take Home' award.  This is a big feather not just for David, but for the club since Kelvin had won it two years previously.
  • Larry also tried to woo the club into a kart day in Dieppe.  The proposed date is the 11th of Aug with a cost off fifty five beaver bucks.
  • John, looking resplendent after his recent hospital stay (no, he wouldn't show off the scars) mentioned that the sorta-Thanksgiving run to the Carter House in Kingston is on again.  It's on the 11th of September.
  • Joanna, while massaging aches and pains from being glued to her bicycle for a solid month, announced the results of her fundraising and thanked all who supported her.
  • The next meeting will be the visit to Rita and Bob's cottage on the lake.
  • aaaand of course the meeting included one of John's quizzes.  With Joe and Kelvin (thankfully) absent it was a tight contest.
Eventually we headed off into the sunset and most of us wound up at Tingley's for ice cream.
