Great Cycle Challenge Week One

Week one of the Great Cycle Challenge completed. I have ridden 107 kms and with your help, raised $941 towards children’s oncology services at the Sick Kids Hospital.

It’s been a bit of a struggle as I am attending an osteoarthritis clinic to prepare me for a hip replacement 🥺. As a result, I bought an electric bike and use it for some of the longer (and hillier) rides. I was feeling a bit of an imposter, but one of the other riders told me it’s not a competition - we are all taking part because of the kids.

And Isaac, my superhero🦸‍♂️ is doing brilliantly after three years of intense treatment. He now plays soccer four times a week. If I did this only because of him, it would be so worth it. But 1700 children are diagnosed with cancer each year in Canada.

If you would like to support the event, please go to www.GreatCycleChallenge.ca, select donate, and click on my name. All donations will receive a charitable donation tax receipt.

Thank you for your support.
