A Saturday Trip to Rexton

Click on the photo for the full meal deal (You should have been there, Bob!)

Although I hope we will get a report from our FABACians who took in the whole event at Rexton, I am happy to report that Rob and Nettie, Margot and Dave, and Carolyn and David were able to make it a day trip. It was great to see so many FABACians (including our Saint John area friends) displaying their beautiful cars, and it wonderful to see that the Rexton event has experienced some healthy growth.

Our little contingent had a most enjoyable trip, lobster rolls at lunch, a nice visit to the car show, a walk on the dunes near Bouctouche, a splendid meal at the Dunes View Restaurant just north of Bouctouche, and a clear and beautiful evening drive home.

Gr8 pictures and wow the food. We were in Texas and while there I got to see a garage which had a bunch of cool cars out front andinside under various stages of repairs. The owner also got his wife to take me down the street to his personal museum and insode some wonderful classics. AC Cobra, 2 AC convertables, (one hard top one soft top). Apparently built to rival the Jag XKE "The AC Frua or AC 428 is a British GT car of the 1960s and early 1970s. Built by AC Cars from 1965 to 1973, it is extremely rare with only 81 cars built in total, 49 coupés (known as fastbacks), 29 convertibles and 3 special bodied. This gagage also had a Red with white racing stripe Ford GT with 19 miles on it, some French (lemon named) cars, MGA's, CAddies etc... Apparently he lets people into it about 12 times a year to look at them and if he has some for sale. I felt really honored.

Thanks for the correction, Bob, and congratulations. The Talbot really caught my eye, as you can see from my photos. :-)
