In his attempt to overly dramatize
sanctioned road racing on closed roads in the Isle of Man, the writer has his historical facts all wrong.

The first Tourist Trophy race was held in 1904 for cars, not motorcycles. Later, in 2007 (28 May) the first motorcycle race was run, and won by Charlie Collier riding a Matchless.

Furthermore, the TT races are only open to qualified profesional riders;are organized by people with vast experience, and marshalled by hundreds of trained
