Well, FABAC has a good number of members with real racing experience.

It's fascinating to hear of Herb's, John's and Kelvin's auto racing exploits. Are there any other FABAC members out there who have been holding back on us? Go-Carts? Formula V? Slot car?! Tell us about it.
Vaaaarrrrooooom!

1971 two liter Ford Capri, raced it for three years as part of the St. John's motor club. Great fun, I'd love to do it again.

What about modern day racers. I downright cleaned a VW Jetta's clock on the Saint John throughway the other day. but I have to wonder if she knew she was actually in a race........

For those who are familiar with the stock car racing in the Geary woods I will make it known that in front of a packed house of spectators I did beat 'Smokin Joe Albert" to the checker. Joe being some what of a local racing hero wining even at the age of 70.
Oh, and bye the way did I mention we were racing lawn tractors at the Brookside mall for charity?

Does drag racing count? In 1967 I raced my Morris Minor against all comers (1 VW) in O stock to take the trophy. In 1968 I was on a drag racing team in California. We ran a Superstock Camero, which I drove once and a Funny Car, which I never drove. Cheers, Larry H.
