Adventures with the Jag Boys

Arriving at Joe's place struggling under the weight of every gasket set I own, I was immediately put to work persuading stuff into place so that he could install and tighten the bolts ("One foot here, both hands there, now PUSH!").  We fiddled a bit, kicked a bucket of antifreeze onto the floor as we thought we needed practice wiping stuff up, and tried to find the bigger oil leaks.
After lunch and tea we fiddled with the computer long enough to decide that neither of us really knew what we where doing and decided to go for a drive.
We've all heard the legend and Curry has gone so far as to actually meet the shadowy character so Joe and I headed towards an abandoned mushroom farm near Kingsclear. Glad that we'd chosen the 'regular' car, we bumped up a long gravel driveway with numerous washouts.  A knock on the door went unanswered but the lawn had been recently mowed indicating that someone did indeed live there.  We ventured to a barn out back where we found numerous MGs and Volvos, a Land Rover, an Austin something or other, and this gem (see photos) all peeking out from the woods with trees growing around them.  Piquing our curiosity even further was the stripped hulk of an E-Type sitting under the overhang of the barn.  It was sad to see these once gleaming gems now abandoned and sinking into the forest floor.
This adventure will continue, stay tuned.
