It seems that we always have gorgeous weather for the first run of the season. The annual (many/most(?) of our runs are becoming annual affairs) drive to Dumfries was as expected. While cool with a chilly breeze, the sunny skies and bare roads were a nice change from snow and ice covered trails.
The maple syrup was flowing and we were told that it's been a pretty good season so far. It was also nice that the ground was still frozen to keep the driveway from becoming a muddy bog.
Thanks to Dan for organizing the day's outing.
