An absolutely fascinating series, Larry. I would benefit from a little more information relating to how/if these inventions had practical applications, where, when, and any features that you could draw our attention to for a better understanding of their workings.
David- The steam ball has "nozzles" that are oriented in one direction so that the steam comes out and rotates the ball. With respect to more information, Dr. Goggle is far more knowledgable than I. Thanks for your interest. Larry

I had a Lionel train, erector set, Lincoln Logs. My brother had a model steam engine.
