Wondering if there is anybody out there that might like to do a run to one of the largest Collector Car Flea Market, Corral, Auction and more event on the spring calendar? April 22nd to 26th 2020 This would be an extended trip as it is a 12 + hour run to Carlisle, Pennsylvania and the event is staggeringly large with over 16 miles of walking to cover the whole of the exhibition grounds. I am considering taking our Rialta (a small motor home) and staying onsite. There are two beds so no sharesies for that Also a toilet and kitchen facility so no need to eat junk food for all meals. Otherwise would find a motel but how close could you get at this late date?
I have been told it is quite an event and one that everybody should go to at least once.

Ralph, I may be interested in this, sounds like it would be fun
I did check on rooms and they can be found about 6 kilometers away at reasonable price as of today. I am not up for a 12 hour run as sole driver but could do with a support team

Have done this event twice . The first we went with a motohome and stayed on site. Had a long walk from the camp site to the car area as a third of the event was taken up by arts and crafts.. But still a fantastic event.
As of now Phil O and I are booked to go. Going to leave the mini Motor home at home and have secured Econo Lodge Carlisle 4 miles away at pretty good rate. Plan is to leave very early Wednesday April 22 and make the 800 KM drive in one go. Will have three days for the market, car corral, etc then blast back to home Sunday morning. Already have gate and parking pass in hand. Now what do we need to find????????????
Discretion is the better part of Valor so Phil and I have pulled the plug on our Carlisle run for this spring. Hopefully I can get gate and parking tickets refunded but as the event is still planned to go they are not refunding pre-purchased items now.
