There was some discussion at the monthly meeting this evening about a possible trip to see the racing at AMP near Shubenacadie. Some information about race dates follow.
Race #3: Aug. 21st, Race #4: Sep. 11th. Three Hour Endurance Race: Oct.2nd.
Practice and qualifying start before 9:30AM with first race between 10:30-11:00Am and usually ends by 5:00PM.
I’ve spoken with Gerald Elliott and he is open to giving us a tour of his shop in Enfield. He said that their heavily modified Cortina might be racing in the last couple of races.
To catch the days racing I would suggest staying in Truro (about a 4 hr. drive) and on to the track the next morning (45 min.) for a day of racing, then to Enfield for dinner and a shop tour with Gerald.
From Enfield back to Truro is about 40 minutes where we could stay the night and then plan an interesting route home or pick our own way back.

Phil, I am going to either the August 21 race, or the enduro in October. I will be meeting a group of friends that raced in Nfld. years ago. It would be great if some other locals were there as well.
