Anyone up for a 17,000 mile run?!!

Phil passed this info on about two Canadian couples who are doing this in their old MGs:

Dave:
I’ve been following these folks on their adventures and have made tentative arrangements to meet them when they get to NB in late August, early September.  Do you think FABAC might be interested in meeting up with them and showing them around or perhaps hosting them?

[Two members and their wives, of the Canadian Classic MG Club are planning a 17000 mile trip around the USA and Canada. We're starting from Vancouver, headed for MG2011 in Reno. South from there to San Diego area. Then along the Mexican border to San Padre Islands and the rest of the Gulf coast.Into Florida and Key West. Then back north to do the "Tail of the Dragon" in North Carolina's Smoky Mountains. Back out to the coast and north to St. John’s in Newfoundland. From there back west via Niagara Falls and down to Mt. Rushmore. After this we'll be heading home.
We are traveling in a 1966 MGB and a 1961 MGA. We would love to hear from MG folk anywhere along or near our route. You could tell us of your favorite places and MG roads in your areas.]

Here’s a link to their blog.  Quite an adventure!!

I definitely think we should contact them and give them a royal escort as they enter our fair province. Surely we could organize something to celebrate their progress.

Would be great to meet them. Possibly a little media coverage could be arranged while they are in NB.
